RPR Products

Usually the hot repair of the coke oven refractory walls aims to rebuild the original profile where serious damage is present.

FIB-Services International S.A. proposes two new original products. In order to optimize the results of the RPR GC and RPR SL, FIB-Services International S.A. recommend integrating these application in a new preventive maintenance program.

One called RPR “SL” grade (Silica Layer) is focused on the hot repair of the numerous micro and/or small cracks by a global treatment, which consists in the spontaneous burning of a mixture to produce a silica cloud flow entering cracks and micro cracks up until they are filled.

At service temperature, the formed silica will densify and become a resistant material.

 

The second grade called RPR “GC” (Glass Coating) is obtained by the projection of a mixture which by an exothermal reaction leads to the formation of an amorphous thin on the refractory material.

It allows to easily repairing cracks (disappearance of flames passing through the cracks).

Another application of the “GC” grade is the formation of a smooth coating on the refractory lining in the charge holes, ascension pipes, and upper side wall areas to minimize cleaning operations.

In conclusion, this preventive maintenance approach will help the operator to prolong the life of his battery.
